Royce O. Hall, M.D. is a Board Certified ophthalmologist. He joined Thomas Eye Group in 2009 and practices general ophthalmology in the Newnan office.

Dr. Hall received a B.S. in chemical engineering from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute, a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Virginia, and interned in surgery at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Hall served in the United States Air Force as a flight surgeon and medical officer before completing his ophthalmology residency at Emory University.

Dr. Hall practiced medicine for 20 years in Florida during which time he founded the African Vision Fund, leading private surgical expeditions to East and West Africa. Dr. Hall founded the Monduli Juu Eye Hospital in the Maasailand of Tanzania, for which he received the Rolex Award for Enterprise. He served as the hospital’s administrator, fund-raiser, ophthalmic surgeon and general practitioner for 10 years.

Dr. Hall is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Board of Ophthalmology and a diplomat of the American College of Surgeons.
